There’s an interesting article about the rise and fall of the Greens up on the WSM website. It looks at them more in terms of the attraction they long had for a certain subset of activists in the environmental and anti-war movements (and the subsequent bitter end of that attraction) rather than simply in terms of their electoral fortunes
