You may have missed John Whelan the CEO of the Irish Exporters Association on Vincent Browne last night. Amongst the topics were The Minimum wage.
Browne: “Could you live on 7.60 an hour?”
Whelan: “Well that’s not, that’s not the issue.”
Browne: “Just, just tell us. Could you live on 7.60 an hour?”
Whelan: “I couldn’t but that’s not the issue.”
Browne: “But why do you expect other people to do so?”

Great stuff. Browne can be irritating sometimes, but this time to what effect!
Shame more people don’t come out with that line of enquiry.
Hope he puts Danny McCoy of IBEC under spot – someone who’s ten times more irritating than Whelan.
Watched the show. Thought Vincent Browne won a knockout in Round One against the Exporter Association Hypocrite.
