Was looking to find unlikely Christmas music and found these wonderful tracks from The Cocteau Twins.
The Cocteau Twins do Christmas in two achingly beautiful tracks on the now very rare 2-track cd single “Snow”. Both songs also feature on the singles collection “Lullabies To Violaine Vol. 2″.
Any more unlikely Christmas covers out there?

You should try fucked up’s version of do they know it’s xmas featuring yo la tengo, j mascis, andrew wk and bob mould.
That sounds good veggiebloggerirebarry… but got to admit I kind of like the Cocteau’s do Christmas. Another great find IELB.
The Maccabees – Walking In The Air
Thats excellent
Arab Strap – Xmas (Baby Please Come Home)
The Spector Christmas Album is still a great listen, my kids love it. I suppose they sound almost as traditional as carol singers by now but giving Frosty The Snowman, Rudolph et al the whole girl group wall of sound treatment at time was pretty innovative.
