I was on that last year. It’s very good and he’s a really great guide, passionate and enthusiastic, but it is very much the anarchist analysis of the conflict.
At times as much, if not more, critical of the communists than the fascists. Not in anyway excusing what the Stalinists did, but I think think his perspective coloured his analysis a couple of times.
The Republican posters are very good, I read somewhere that most Graphic artists Etc backed the Republic as did many artists. It was at the Paris Exposition in 1937 that Picasso unveiled ‘ Guernica ‘ The Facists had no one to rival this.
Viva La Quince Brigada, with a couple of posters, and photos of some of those named.
The C.N.T Posters are always striking. My local Union office is the C.N.T. so it is still in existence, it seems to be in alliance with a Confederation of Unions. You cant miss the office in the centre of town it is decked out in red and black.
