Starting off this week with something I had lying around , not Irish but of Interest an “Angela Davis On Trial” Leaflet from the Angela Davis Defence Committee circa 1971

On then to a 1985 leaflet from Sinn Feins John Crabbe running in Dublins South Inner City which devotes a page to attacking The Workers’ Party ..”Don’t be fooled by the WP”

Then from 1997 ‘Dun Laoghaire Newsletter’ from Eamon Gilmore, then of Democratic Left with the headline “Water Rates Abolished”

Finally an old Fianna Fail T-Shirt (Did the Left ever go in for Crepe paper hats, t-shirts and the like?)

You have to admire Gilmore – never shy at taking credit for the work of others.

Don’t know about the left and electoral kitsch IEL. But the libertarian right were quite fond of it.
