Starting off this week with Clare Dalys first leaflet since she resigned from the Socialist Party. Issued under the ULA banner, it carries amongst other things, a statement about her ‘Fresh Start’ and a statement of support from Joan Collins TD.
As an aside The SWP have an article up on their site “What We Say: Clare Daly and Socialist Party”
On then to a small bit of Republican history and “A felon’s cap’s the noblest crown. An Irish head can wear.” A 1956 Mid Ulster By-Election leaflet from Sinn Fein candidate Tom Mitchell. Mitchell had won the previous two elections but had been disqualified from assuming office because he was a convicted felon.
Then from 1992 a leaflet from Labours Breeda Moynihan Cronin “The Dirty Dozen -McCreevy cuts Social Welfare 12 times since April”
and finally “Be Part Of The Comeback … Join Fianna Fail Today” from Ogra Fianna Fail .
