Is Ruan O’Donnell a political activist as well as a historian? I saw reference in another thread to his views being described as “stale socialist republicanism”.
He has no party political affiliations to my knowledge MarkP but yeah I guess you could say he is an activist in so much as he is combating the reformist liberal narrative to the struggle for National Liberation and Socialism in Ireland.
Here is the IRSPs contribution to last years event, it was a great evening and this years should be no different.
Sounds like a north Connacht accent there, I don’t think I ever met an IRSP man in the wesht back in the old days. Did the organisation have any cumann west of the shannon in the 70/80′s?
Looking forward to this. The IRSP will be holding our annual Seamus Costello Commemoration in Bray, Co Wicklow on Sunday 7th October.
Gather at the Old Town Hall, Bray at 1.30pm for march to the graveyard at Little Bray. Bands in attendance, All Welcome.
