After years of hard knocks, Ireland is poised for recognition on the world stage — an application is being lodged with the office of the Guinness Book of World Records for Most Expensive Bank Bondholder Bailout, per capita.
Ireland’s bail out is 4 times higher per capita than that of Greece. If Europe needs a ‘win’, Ireland can surely deliver.

At least we can draw some comfort after that budget! The rest of the world must be green with envy! We may have bombed at Euro 2012 but for European bondholders in 2012 we were gold medal winners every time.
It would be great for Fine Gael. Enda could appear on tv screens all over the globe and declare the Ireland is the best, little place in the world to incompetently do business. Morons of the World unite and bring your ill-gotten gains to the Emerald Isle!
Is it time to “put on the green jersey” again?
