The ‘competitiveness’ cant is propaganda to promote ever and ever lower wages.
Seldom do these propagandists discuss the real causes of increased worker productivity,-greater investment per worker and use of the most technologically advanced capital goods, neither of which is promoted by lower wages. Plus austerity budget cuts to social and physical infrastructure expenditure further retards productivity growth.
More cant of competitiveness this week.
Plight unseen. Why aren’t six million Spanish unemployed reason for a change of course?
