You may call me mad, but did the MRF use glock pistols and AK47s? Because that’s what is used as the backdrop on the front page of the Phoblacht.

Joe - December 3, 2013

Mere details Bob.
But I wonder. Has SF done the research on whether having guns on the front cover increases sales?

Bob Smiles - December 3, 2013

Guns used to be the mainstay of the Phoblacht’s front page. The Glock is a Love/hate type of gun. It wasn’t invented when the MRF were stalking Belfast , in the BBC programme they all had Stens and Sterlings not AKs. Plus it looks like a staged photo- I hope that’s not stuff that escaped the decommissioning !
