More from Christy Burke, and also appended a joint leaflet that shows people how to use the ballot paper. Clever.

quite a few of the leaflets have some variant on that ballot paper thingy – tom stafford, claire o’regan and paschal (and emer costello as well I think) all have it too. Good idea.

Do the southern ballot papers not have the candidates’ addresses on them?

Yes.

The general style is

“GOMBEEN – FIANNA GAEL

Frank Gombeen, Gombeen House Hotel, Main St, Anytown. Councillor and Property Developer.”

The ballot paper is a sensible thing to do. Of course the political content of the leaflet is as bland as ever.

Around this end of the ward, interestingly, MacAodháin has been more prominent during the campaign than Burke. I presume that Burke just has a much bigger area to cover because of the by-election.
