Ah, nostalgia, how are you? I had a passing involvement in Z magazine and so I found the latest in the Looking Left series from DCTV of considerable personal interest. Again, well done to all those involved. Looks great and is an absolute key resource on Irish left history. Perhaps time to start lobbying them for more programmes.

cheers for the link WBS. Funnily enough, the next program is going to be on the Irish Socialist. We’re filming it next week. That’ll be the last of the pilots, so after that we’ll have to sit down as a group and see where to go to next. And if people want to get involved in the programs, or have ideas for publications we should be covering in the shows, please let us know!

I’m writing a bookon Ireland in the seventies and eighties. These programmes you’re making sound fantastic. Would there be any chance of getting hold of tapes/DVDs? I’d be extremely grateful if there was.

Hi Eamonn, as Archivist said, the shows are linked here on cedarlounge. If you want, all the shows are stored online at Vimeo and can be downloaded as MP4s. Once you go to the program link, you should see the option to download them at the bottom right-hand side of the page.

Oh, one last thing. I’m involved in making the shows, but I don’t make them. There’s a group of us and it’s a collective effort. And there’s room for more people to get involved as well!

Conor, Archivist, thanks. The only problem is that I live out on a headland in a place where the speed of the internet connection is around the same as it would have been in those old movies where computers fill a room and are attended by ranks of boffins in white lab coats. So I can barely access my E-Mails, let alone download MP4s. (Though I did enjoy their single, “Kick Out The Jams.”
