Meanwhile, Green Party Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources Eamon Ryan was asked by Newstalk presenter George Hook if he supported a national government.
“Yes, I think we do need to pull together a bit to pull through this crisis, and I think particularly next month because there’s going to be difficult decisions in front of us.”
Anyone care to enlighten us all?

‘pull together a bit’ hardly counts as a national government. Ryan probably wants the opposition to stay quiet, wishful thinking really.

A reshuffle hardly qualifies as a difficult decision for everyone.
I think it’s something to do with either a) docklands, or, b) another emergency budget with more paycuts and levies?

I think its the further recapitalisation of the banks . AIB are due to ask for 6 billion.

Betty, that was the first thing that came to my mind. Then of course, as IELB notes there’s recapitalisation, but politically, and maybe I’m way off beam here it seems to me there’s no particular hardship in getting that through the Dáil with FF/GP generally four square behind economic policy.
