Starting off with a Martyn Turner Cartoon from Ruth Coppinger from last weeks by-election in Dublin West

On then to a “Partition Must Go” Poster from Ailtirí na hAiséirghe

Then from 1936 a poster for a meeting of the “Irish Christian Front” “…Ireland Rejects Communism”

Back then to Dublin West again and “On Thursday Vote For The Only Government Candidate” says Fine Gaels Eithne Loftus unaware that her Labour rival would toe the line when elected.

and her Labour Rival the one that “… will stand up for the interests of people, families and communities throughout Dublin West”…..

Fittingly With reference to the bondholders paid last week a Leaflet from Repudiate the Debt.

Worth it for the Ailtirí na hAiséirghe and the Irish Christian Front alone, but the Loftus and Nulty ones are fantastic too. Fantastic not in a good way though 😦

The Loftus one is bizarre, I think she was somehow suggesting that Nulty would be some kind of left wing maverick that wouldn’t fully back the government. …. She needn’t have worried.
