Its twenty years since the book ‘Fever Pitch’ came out.
A great book it is too.
A BBC Radio 4 documentary “Fever Pitched: Twenty Years On” was broadcast recently, it is only available to listen to for a few more days.

The football memoir ‘Fever Pitch’ sold over a million copies, and made a star of its author Nick Hornby. He joins presenter John Wilson to celebrate the book’s 20th anniversary.

Its available to download or listen to here

I know. Amazing how football (at the top level) has changed since the book was written.

I am described as “a wise man” in the book (in the section on the Cambridge v Darlington match of January 1977). This may be my only claim to fame.
