Many thanks to the person who forwarded this to the CLR. The first page below is bad enough, but the second is actually impossible to post up here due to its content (not in the sense of censoring it, though it’s very grim stuff, but due to potentially libellous statements).
You know, I read the judgements in the X case, and I don’t remember that quote from the front of the leaflet included in any of them. Maybe I’m wrong, but I suspect that it may be a very loose paraphrase of the decision.

You think that’s bad, you should see the part I didn’t post up. Of course this is most likely a woman or man and a dog operation with a computer/Word and a printer, but…

To be fair, it’s the work of someone who isn’t entirely stable. A quick google suggests he has form too.

Good luck in getting Quinn and the Iona Institute to disown stuff like this all the same. These are the foot soldiers.

I gather stuff like this is being given out after masses countrywide. I’m nearly tempted to go…
A lot of fairly vile stuff was produced during the Childrens Referendum.
One of the worst leaflets http://irishelectionliterature.wordpress.com/2012/11/13/children-are-not-pawns-vote-no/
was produced by a group Called ‘Clann na Gael’ which I’ve never heard of before. The do list a website on the leaflet http://www.dontwrong.me/index.html
Have a look at the about us/links page…. http://www.dontwrong.me/links.html
Who pops up as the first link only Direct Democracy Ireland!

I suppose I’m just usually more scared of the ostensibly rational people like David Quinn (medicine woman) than the inarticulate and obviously daft. However, you’re right – it’s a different matter when they’re not exactly isolated in their views.

Got to agree with you there AS that the high profile people are troubling too.

This is from the same people who brought you, “There is no AIDS in Carrickmacross.”

By the way, the ‘Children’s Protection Society’ was de-registered as a business name in 1995. Someone could be in for a spot of bother if they are putting out material under an unregistered name. Also, the defamation may cause them some trouble.
Any chance that the John Clerkin mentioned here is the smae person as Sean Clerkin who, thanks to IELB, ran for the “Christian Principle’s Party”?

Is there a connection to this crowd mentioned
by Henry Macdonald?

They are the very same, I imagine.
Incidentally, Google street view tells me the address provided is a private residence. I was interested to see if it was an office shared by any other groupings.

Of course the real reason there’s no AIDS in Carrickmacross is that the Urban Council carries out mandatory health checks in the red light district and also runs a needle exchange programme.

Yeah, that place on The Wire was based on it.

I hear they prevent it with dry toast and flat 7-up.

A quick Irish Times search reveals there’s been a
“Children’s Protection Society” linked to Wellington Road
since at least 1996:

These YD beasts are appearing on the streets regularly now, accosting people with their faked-up photos. My advice is to tell to get to fuck and make sure they know people will not take this crap anymore.
