Don’t all get jealous at once …… 43 years ago next week one of my contributors spent a weekend at a concert…. and kept the ticket to tease generations to come 🙂

Got to say though I am a bit jealous, whether one liked them all or not (got to admit for me the jury’s out on Jefferson Airplane) you wouldn’t be bored . Great find IEL.

What is it? Can’t be shillings, can it? Pence? Agree it’s a great find. Worth reflecting on that bill in the week following Bon Jovi headlining at our supposed premiere outdoor concert.

Slightly on a tangent what of the response to Neil Young and Crazy Horse, was it last week, where the multitudes came expecting Harvest and were offered ten minutes of feedback drawn from his more experimental output. I can’t help but applaud the grumpy Mr. Young & Co.

wasn’t there but was talking to plenty who were. Supposedly parts of the crowd actually booing him.
Last Friday a chap in work announced that he was off to Neil Young on Saturday night. .. was met by a few ‘Who?’… never heard of him’ . I felt old.

Thanks Alan for posting this up, 50 shillings about 2 Euro 50 cent.
A lot of British music festivals in the 60s were free so to pay 2 euro 50 cent was a bit of strange in 1970.Was a great festival of peace and love.
In 1970 I was a Hippie but then in 1971 joined the Anti Interment League instead of Timothy Leary it was Che Guevara.

I made the mistake of telling a colleague that the first hit record I remember is Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall”.
She just looked at me as if I had grown a second head, and said. . . “wow. . . you’re really old”.

You got off lightly. The first hit record I remember – as in, one we sang as kids – was “Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep”. I’ve a horrible feeling most people on here are gonna have to google it…

because my father was a big fan of theirs.
