The Cedar Lounge Revolution
On that ‘Irish Political Review Group’ leaflet, I was looking recently at the Linenhall Library catalogue, and the sheer number of organisation names, publisher names etc. used by the wider BICO/AHS group and associates is impressive. Adding the above, there’s all of these:

(Sometimes just “The Organisation”)

(Again, sometimes just “The Association”)

Quite a list, isn’t it?

Yeah, had to double check myself who exactly they were. It must have stuck in their craw too praising or even mildly agreeing with Sinn Fein.

Frances Black, independent? Do SF have anyone running for that panel?

Yes, Joe. SF have Pádraig MacLochlainn running on that panel according to the Adrian Kavanagh website. And they have also nominated Ciaran Staunton, independent, on that panel. MacLochlainn is an inside candidate and Black is an outside.
Strange things indeed, Seanad elections.

I must confess I was amused at the thought of AOR going around the country begging Councillors for their vote or a preference at least.
He hasn’t even tailored his letter for the recipients. So he’s sending the same letter to FF Cllrs in Cavan than he is to SF Cllrs in Cabra. He hadn’t even signed it himself either. Most candidates appear to be sending letters based on the party the recipient is in.
