Commemorating the Golden Jubilee of the removal of Nelson’s Pillar with Republican activist, Liam Sutcliffe. May 17, 2016

Posted by irishelectionliterature in Uncategorized.

Earlier this year on the 50th anniversary of the execution by dynamite of the notorious English war criminal, Horatio Nelson, one of Dublin’s best and most famous pubs, the Cobblestone, hosted a night of celebration. Guest of honour at that event was the man who toppled the admiral from his perch in the centre of Dublin, veteran Republican activist, Liam Sutcliffe. In this short video (14 minutes) Historian Fergus Whelan asks Liam a few questions about his irregular career. It was filmed by Gabriel Cleary.
You can see the video over at the Irish Republican Marxist History Site …. (as I don’t know how to embed it here 🙂 )
Thanks to them for sending it on.
