Many thanks to the Irish Republican Marxist History Project for sending it on, there’s a piece on the protest and more photos there.

I was not in Dublin at the time of the review/protest and do not know the nature of the offensive sketch(es). I expect E.McCann MLA could tell us, but only a few others.
The photograph has survived better.

So you’re letting hipsters into the party now, Roddy?
Where will it end? I guess you can claim that beards were always a accessory.

he looks more like a neckbeard than a hipster to me.
When he’s introduced to Her Majesty the Queen, he can tip his fedora and say “m’lady”.

By the looks of that picture, Ms Keegan isn’t falling for whatever guff young McCann is coming out with. And what’s with the collection boxes. Did they collect as they protested?

Or were they collecting for Peter’s Pence? And did they hand out pinhead or sticky flags to donors?

Mairin Keegan is described as a Marxist but Eamonn McCann is not. Why is that?

Because Eamonn McCann’s reputation precedes him, like the bouquet of a fine wine.

Ah a “fine wine”. Would that be the reason that Eamon is “all over the place” and has “as many faces as the Albert clock”!

While we’re on that simile, how successful were establishment efforts to stop the Albert clock leaning to the left? 🙂

Eamon gets special treatment from the establishment. When he and several others including dissos appeared in court a couple of years back ,the rest had to wear forensic suits while Eamon was exempted from this “humiliation”.
