Facing both ways… June 18, 2016

…hilarious to see that the Times in the UK is supporting Remain – this in the same week as the Sun has come out for Brexit. At the time of the latter there was murmuring various quarters about how the Sun (and by extension Murdoch) always picks a winner (Robert Peston, unaffiliated to the Sun AFAIK, tweeted ‘@rupertmurdoch does not typically backthe loser and this is his call’). Presumably they didn’t mean it in quite this way:

It means that the papers’ owner, Rupert Murdoch, is sure to be on the winning side when the votes are counted on 23 June.

Ahem.

I’m kinda facing both ways on Brexit myself.

I would predict a victory-clinching swing to Remain because of the disgusting murder of Jo Cox MP.

On balance (but it was close), I deem this swing to be a reason to be cheerful. Can’t find that thread, so posting on this one.
