Sorry to see the news that Alan Vega of Suicide has died. It would not be unfair to say his and their influence was considerable on punk, electronica and the landscape of music from the 1970s onwards. Here’s one of his finest moments.

He was eight years younger than my dad was, but generationally a world of difference. It is good when people do such good stuff and at any age.
