That’s part of the Z-Man’s schtick – contrarian by force of habit.

He claims that fascism in America is unlikely, even if Trump wins.

I’m not in a position to judge whether that’s valid or not. Neither perhaps is the Z-Man.

He’s right about fascism, wrong about Trump. There are enough checks and balances to prevent an outright dictatorship, but he can still do a lot of damage. And as Alex Ferguson would put it, it’s beginning to look like squeaky-bum time.
