Another new left party? November 9, 2016

Posted by WorldbyStorm in Uncategorized.

It’s not all the US. No sirree… A lot of chatter, including in the Phoenix last week, on a new left party with some involvement by Brendan Ogle. There’s talk about TDs willing to throw their hats into that particular ring. But who could they be?

I have no idea. Which doesn’t stop me speculating that it could include any of the following people, in order of likelihood: Joan Collins, Clare Daly and Mick Wallace, Tommy Broughan, Thomas Pringle, Seamus Healy, Catherine Connolly.

I presume Ogle wants to make the non aligned elements of Right2Change into some form of Political Party.

There’s a sitcom in there somewhere. There really is. If Mr. O is involved it won’t long and it won’t be pretty. The plan, I’m sure, is for Clare, Joan, Mick, Seamus to row in behind Mr. O; which is testament to his naivety more than anything else.

Aren’t Wallace and co. already in the leftish party, Independents 4 Change? Do we really need another one? Talk about political promiscuity! ūüėČ

The last time I saw something as such in The Phoenix it was in relation to the possibility of a new left party bankrolled by Brendan O’Carroll. Yep.

as ever I say trying to force a party is terrible idea, what happened to right2change, why not put more money into that? Wallace renamed his party to reflect it, all but Connelly are members of both groups, who needs a new party?
