There’s a lot in this, none of it makes for good reading – about the impact of Brexit on London. But reading BTL I’m not alone in wondering whether the idea that London is the cultural capital of Europe is entirely accurate. Perhaps more accurately it is one of the capitals. But how to assess these matters?

well it isn’t just because the Mayor say it is, but he’s got your SEO now so he’s happy.

It’s up there but ultimately there is no objective way to measure such things. Rome, Paris, Berlin and probably half a dozen others could make a fair argument for the title.

At the end of the day, does it matter? It’s just marketing really so let them all make their claims.

Mayors as marketers-in-chief. Enough said.

The official European capital of culture is Wrocław/Breslau. Well worth a visit despite the PiSers.
