Books on the Ladbroke Grove Scene February 11, 2017

It’s no secret I’m partial to the Deviants, Pink Fairies and Hawkwind, but more broadly does anyone know of any good books on the scene which they were representative of, that is the darker edged part of hippy – Mick Farren (of the Deviants) and Michael Moorcock intersected with this and brought with them other cultural areas. It’s difficult not to hear hints of punk and post-punk in there. I’m just interested in a good general history of the scene if possible, if one has been written. There is Farren’s autobiography but I’m thinking of something a bit broader.

That might do the trick. Need to find it reasonably cheaply though!
