In 1989 former Rovers, Bohs, Pats, Shels, Bray, Home Farm and Drogheda stalwart Mick Moody arrested Adam Clayton. Today is Micks Birthday and an excuse to post this….

Of course the League starts this evening too! Hoping Rovers can start with a win in Dundalk!

The traditional first game full house at Dalyer to watch Derry get the four easiest goals they’ll ever get. Rovers losing doesn’t compensate. 3 going down this year *shivers*

“Fighting against relegation” with a difference: GAA-style schmozzle at the end in Richmond Park, two Pats players sent off, both keepers booked – presumably for being more motivated than everyone else who joined in.

Rovers didn’t look too bad in Dundalk, two defensive mistakes punished by Dundalk. A stupid tackle by Burke to get himself sent off. Still I’d be optimistic, although next Friday is as ever a must win.
Piece on Bohs in the Irish Times today which is interesting.

Thanks hadn’t spotted the Bohs piece. Some people quoted acting innocent whom I will never forgive.

Yeah, everything that happened seemed to come across as inevitable, which was far from the truth.
