April Fools gags online and in the media April 1, 2017

Posted by WorldbyStorm in Uncategorized.

Okay, we did ours this morning. Hey, why have a sort of kind of publishing platform if one won’t use it for the fun stuff. But any others elsewhere that caught peoples attention? Any good ones?

Irish Times story about plans to demolish Liberty Hall and build a Trump hotel the same height as the spike in O’Connell St. That was so obvious.

“In many ways, we’re one nation. Whether we’re two separate countries or not is a separate issue.”-Lord Kilclooney, I.T.

3. Tomboktu - April 1, 2017

Pink News: “BBC to announce that the UK is to withdraw from Eurovision”. The report is that it would take effect in 2019, and — I love this detail — “Plans are afoot for Scotland to compete by itself.”

The Irish Independent reported that the new Luas has hit a problem because the gauge is for the trams that we had in 1916, and that it is now to go through Trinity College with a stop at the bell tower in the front square.
