Vincent Browne July 6, 2017

Vincent Browne had his last show presenting ‘Tonight with Vincent Browne’ on TV3 tonight. Sad to see him finishing (although I wonder will we see him back the odd time).
Its a show that really came to the fore during the crash, was less respectful to many Politicians and did his best to get straight answers from guests. He certainly gave FF and Labour folk a run for their money when they were in Government.
The show at times gave a voice to many new faces, old faces and importantly to those on the fringes of society. It also gave a regular platform for those on the Far Left.

What topics were discussed? (And here’s to hoping that he tackled Jobstown)

2. Dermot O Connor - July 6, 2017

I loved his old radio show on RTE. It was a hoot. During one of the previous elections, they had a panel that consisted of “young candidates”.

VB: “Why should anyone vote for you?”

#1 “Well Vincent, I’m young and new and”

VB “Yes, but that’s not a reason by itself.” (to the next candidate) “Why should anyone vote for you?”

#2 “I’m young and new and…”

VB “Ahhh, no…” (to the third) “Why should anyone – and don’t say you’re young…”

#3 “well I’m a member of a new generation and”

VB “AHHHHH hhhhghhghhh gghhg hggg… ah jesus… ahhh”
