When can we expect to hear more on the FF/SDLP lash-up?

The thought struck the other day reading this thread on Slugger, where someone asked much the same question. It’s been a while now since there was the chatter about it.

According to this report this is the month we can hope for news. I wonder though, what with Brexit and the Budget…

And just on that thread, there’s a suggestion in the article that Fine Gael has been positioning with a rather nationalist rhetoric in order to sideline FF. I’d wonder about that too. It seems to me FG is doing this for a lot of reasons more important than that – as well as which FF surely could do same, or up the ante even more. Yet, it has if anything presented a rather curious almost pro-UK line.
