I was impressed by Saoirse McHugh saying assuming she was elected MEP she would walk away from the GP if it went into government with FF or FG. One wonders how representative that is of new GP members and indeed how much purchase long time members will have on debates around the issue but it does strike me that the questions and thinking that prompted her being asked the question indicates an incredibly premature approach to these matters. One admittedly good local election and one very likely good European election does not absolutely indicate an excellent general election let alone rather phoney horse trading about coalition.

Looks like she won’t make it, those exit polls sure gave her false hope.

Yeah, a pity if what she said she stood by re unions, coalition etc. I’ve met a few people from the GP who hold those views. But isn’t it a warning about not believing exit polls.

We might have our gammons mixed up. I was referring to Casey and unfortunately he lasted longer.
