Tendence Coatsey on the Red-Brown front working to push no-deal Brexit through.

Left-wingers in other countries would get the impression from the pages of the US Jacobin, and other self-identifying left publications, who cover the issue by articles from various factions who have come out of the SWP and supporters of the Red-Brown Front, the Full Brexit, that the British radical left has roughly similar politics to the Morning Star on this issue.

But the majority of the UK [on] the left is at the forefront of the right [sic – I think Tendence means fight] against a No Deal Brexit, and a large section is against Brexit tout court.

So the German economy looks like it’s going into recession, just and the 2-10 year US bond spread inverts (since 1945 a precursor of a global recession – for what that’s worth as a predictive measure, given the unprecedented structure of the political economy of capitalism since 2008).

There’s plenty of room for a publicly funded green stimulus to the German economy that could benefit the rest of the EU. However the current SPD German finance minister is a hard-right law-and-order public-debt-brake fetishist.

After what’s likely to be fairly disastrous Länder elections in September for the CDU and the SPd, the German coalition government may well go into crisis at the same time as Brexshit goes critical.

I notice gold has broken out of the doldrums it’s been in for years, floating around 1200 to 1300 for ages, but in the last couple of months has moved from 1400 to 1500. Sign of some fear sloshing around.

The BJ bounce seems to be fading fast. Those first terrifying 3 polls giving him a 10% lead are now down to a MOE 3 or 4%.

And US 30-year bonds are now yielding less than they have ever done. (!?)

Which means that capitalists are so pessimistic about future rates of profit over a 30 year period that they’d rather pile into long term US bonds.

ON THE 100th Anniversary of the Solaheadbeg Ambush, Commemorate Sean Treacy this Sunday, before the all-Ireland Hurling Final in Talbot St. Dublin.
War of Independence in Tipperary and West Waterford https://wp.me/pKzXa-12n
At 12 noon next Sunday on Talbot street in Dublin, there will be a commemoration in honour of Tipperary man Sean Treacy. He was mortally wounded there by British Forces During The War of Independence. This is a great occasion and happens every time Tipperary are in the final, all are welcome, not just Tipperary folk, but all Gaels, especially our great hurling rivals from Kilkenny. It really sets the tone for the day.
Treacy was killed in October 1920, on Talbot Street in Dublin, in a shootout with British troops and spies during an aborted British Secret Service surveillance operation.
And this year is the 100th year anniversary of the historic Solaheadbeg Ambush planned by Treacy!

So Taoiseach, Chief Maker and Implementer of Laws , can be charged in Court? WRONG !!!!
Because the law mainly effects Large Corporations and Governments, it was carefully crafted to ensure that breaking this law was not a criminal offence!! The only remedy If your privacy was violated is to sue the government agency in the High Court, IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY To HIRE EXPENSIVE LAWYERS!!! Did Leo tell the Attorney General Not to Tell Him OFFiCIALLY???

Limerick University Hospital Building Contract Given to Firm Which Built Faulty Schools
RTE NEWS: The hospital has confirmed that the company, which built more than 40 schools where serious structural defects have been uncovered, was awarded a contract worth €14m for the project Neo-Liberal Governance Scheme https://wp.me/pKzXa-1ey
The Minister for Health has said he has no role in the awarding of individual contracts by the HSE.
Ms Hegarty, who is Assistant Professor at UCD’s School of Architecture, has criticised the system of enforcement of building regulations here.
She said that because breaches are usually dealt with locally by negotiation there is no public record.
“When it comes to a different Government Department looking for previous issues”, she says, “maybe where there were warnings or problems on site, there isn’t a public record that can be relied on to record this”.
