And it has to be asked… anyone here ever seen a UFO? September 28, 2019

UFOlogy isn’t entirely unknown on the left whether amongst adherents of Trotskyism as noted here… …or indeed in the Soviet Union.

I’ve only seen one thing that struck me as genuinely odd but that was a very long time ago and possibly was flares of some description over Dublin bay in the afternoon.

Well. UFO stands for unidentified flying object. I’ve seen things moving in the sky that I can’t identify. But I’ve no evidence to suggest they were alien craft from somewhere else in the universe.

Agreed. That’s my problem too. Even the current rash of sightings released by the US Air Force are – if not some sort of natural phenomenon misinterpreted, likely to be drones of some description.

My father and I once saw something odd in the sky in West Cork-a small yellow light in the sky that briefly appeared and disappeared.

It was probably a meteor.

On the subject…has anyone here ever met a Posadist who discussed the revolutionary potential of extraterrestrials? 😉

Regrettably I have never met a Posadist. However it is indeed a possiblity that nationalised economic relations could lead to such a development. We should remember that Laika, bless her heart, was on board the Sputnik in 1957. However we would be rather chauvinist to expect that extraterrestrial life forms would look like us.
