Never more necessary than now, as Gewerkschaftler suggested this recently:

I suggest this blog should have a regular (weekly) slot where people can post happenings at the personal or political level that gives them hope that we’re perhaps not going to hell in a handbasket as quickly as we thought. Or as the phlegmatic Germans put it “hope dies last”.

That eventually, with varying degrees of hesitation, in most parts of Europe, a lockdown was imposed, despite the clear crisis of capitalism that causes.

Public health is, for now, coming before profit.

Not as efficient as South Korea or China, but better than Anglo-capitalist countries like the UK and Australia.

I wonder if some people won’t notice a marked improvement in their lives because of the lock down? Instead of work, shop, rinse and repeat ad infinitum, will some notice that having additional free time is more valuable and enjoyable than the grind? Here’s hoping.

(Of course for the working poor, this is not an option. Not at all.)
