The wider “Movements of Movements” project is a follow-on from the OpenWSF project which created a discussion space around the global encounters between movements in the World Social Forum. The Movements of Movements books then invited activists and engaged researchers to comment on the state of movements up to the global crash of 2007-8.

The new project, in alliance with the Boston-based encuentro5 movement building space (http://encuentro5.org/home/), is trying to see where our movements are today – this is the first event in the project.
