This Week At The Irish Election Literature Blog May 4, 2012

Posted by irishelectionliterature in Irish Election Literature Blog.

First off a selection of No Posters for the Referendum

On then to the Yes side and “The Fiscal Stability Treaty -A Guide” leaflet from Labour TD Michael McCarthy

Then to the other part of the government and “Stability Treaty -A Yes Vote is a vital step in our recovery” Leaflet from Fine Gael Junior Minister Lucinda Creighton.

The Irish Farmers Association are getting in on the act too with their “Why Farmers and their Families should vote YES to the Fiscal Treaty” leaflet
A European Referendum wouldn’t be the same without IBEC campaigning either and heres’ their video “Fiscal Stability – Keeping Ireland Strong in Europe”

Then away from Europe , two items from the 1980 Fianna Fail Ard Fheis Clar.
A Summary of Fianna Fails 1979 Accounts with note from Auditor and Party Treasurer
and Fianna Fail 1979 National Collection Constituency Totals

If You’ve any posters /Leaflets from the referendum that you’d like me to post the email is irishelectionliterature AT gmail.com

Great selection.

2. ejh - May 5, 2012

That one on the top left….is it a deliberate echo of this/a>?

irishelectionliterature - May 5, 2012

I doubt its deliberate , another person using it is Mitt Romney.
Theres an Obama isn’t Working site which uses the same queue. I recall a 1997 FF poster that had a queue in it but not sure if it was the same one.

scabbyrabbit - May 5, 2012

I’m pretty sure the Socialist Party have used that queue since the crisis began and that it is based on that Tory poster. I think the top two are particularly effective.

irishelectionliterature - May 5, 2012

They used a different image of a queue in the Dublin West By-Election.

scabbyrabbit - May 7, 2012

I don’t doubt that they did, but this is the same image as above: http://hilmiramlan.schoolcommunicationarts.com/files/2010/08/IMG.jpg

Just had a quick look on Facebook and found the graphic they used before, except it goes ‘Capitalism isn’t working.’
