A ‘face computer’? June 15, 2024

Anyone read this in the Independent during the week? The news that:

Separately, Apple announced that its Vision Pro headset, released in the US earlier last year, will now go on sale in more countries. However, although the UK is included, Ireland is not yet a launch country for the company’s €3,500 face computer.

A face computer, is it? Why do I find that term less than appealing? For some reason I think of the face hugger from Alien.

As to the device itself, as noted previously, stranded halfway between concept and actuality, one would have to have a lot of disposable income to throw around before purchasing it. €3,500. Jesus.
