Troubles on the Box Tonight at 9 October 6, 2008

As most of you will be aware, October 5th marked the 40th anniversary of the attack on the civil rights march in Derry that delegitimised the Unionist regime in Northern Ireland in the eyes of British and world opinion (relevant posts from Cedar Lounge Revolution, Garibaldy Blog and Slugger can be found here, there, and everywhere). Just a note to let everyone know that tonight at 9 BBC One NI will be showing a documentary tonight about the October 5th march under the rather silly title The Day The Troubles Began. I’ll write more about it after the programme has been on.
