This Weekend I’ll Mostly be Listening to Songs and Music about… Flying

And why not? Starting with with my favourite Clash song ever – Spanish Bombs, which is not just about Spain and its history also has the line ‘I’m flyin’ in on a DC 10 tonight’. Excellent. More gloomily there’s Saxon’s heartfelt plea for air safety and in particular minimum safe distance: 747 – Strangers in the Night. Lana Del Rey’s song is a fascinating addition to the canon. From there it’s a mix and I’ve a suspicion some of these songs aren’t about flying at all! 🙂 All additions welcome. And there’s one song by a band I really love which I’ve left off. It’s all about flying and be interesting to see if anyone namechekcs it.
