Many thanks to Éirígí Activist for forwarding these materials to the Archive. They join other materials from Éirígí here in the Archive. For election materials from Éirígí here is a broad selection at Irish Election Literature.

This selection of stickers from Éirígí dates fro 2009 though to 2013 and shows the range of some of the campaigns and issues that the party was involved in during that period.

That’s coincidental. Mind you it has to be said there are people who don’t understand the fascination with political materials. Or the history of those materials and the groups they represent. Or politics full stop.

Ah I know. Coincidental. But funny all the same. There’s a place for stickers and decent graphics and graffiti.
I’ve been fascinated by graffiti since the early seventies and taking the bus home from school from North Strand to Kilbarrack. The Bridge Boot Boys were prolific. Johnner, Scotty, Joe, Sherko.
These days I follow IRA 23, soon to be 24, who has been marking his/her territory around the northside for at least a decade now.

Is that IRA or CIRA? There was a guy around the north inner city and the south inner city out towards the docks who has been prolific on that over the years.

And what about the H-Block graffiti?

You know that’s a great area, political graffiti. Back in the day there used to be a weirdly discreet OIRA on the lampposts outside TCD. Never quite knew what the point being made was.

They just do IRA 23. It could be any version but most likely the In Their Sad Head IRA.
