Allan Armstrong – Republican, Communist, Scottish Internationalist

Very, very sorry to hear of the passing of Allan Armstrong, as noted by ColmB in Comments earlier today. A lovely person who was enormously generous with his time and his thoughts and whose quiet determination and sincerity was the foundation of good politics. 

It was a pleasure along with others who write and comment here to have the opportunity to meet and talk with him last year when he visited Ireland. He will be genuinely missed by many many people. Our condolences to his family, friends and comrades.

He featured on a Left Archive podcast in 2021 which can be heard here and gives a real sense of the person he was.
