This one page newsletter from the Dublin Comhairle Ceantair of Official Sinn Féin is a short document that deals with the rising repression in Northern Ireland during this period. The letter emphasises the need for a response

There should be no need for us to emphasise the seriousness of the present situation in tho 6 Counties. Hundreds of people have been interned and innocent people are being murdered in the streets by the British Army.

It notes that:

There is a need for massive response from the people of the Twenty Six Counties, So far the response from oven our own members has been poor. If WE betray the people of the Six Counties they will have no one. What are you doing about it? What can you do to support the people of the Six Counties –

It also lists a range of activities that members can engage in in order to raise awareness on these issues. And notably:

4) The Committee to Oppose Repressive Legislation are organisaing a picket on thw Senate (Leinster House) … one of the effective ways you can fight repression in the north is by fighting repressive legislation in the south. All members who are available should support this picket.

Please note: If files have been posted for or to other online archives previously we would appreciate if we could be informed of that. We always wish to credit same where applicable or simply provide links.
