Unfortunately, no time for a proper trawl through the cesspit this week, so all suggestions especially welcome. Given that what WBS would call the FF DNA candidate is performing so strongly in the election, Shane Ross seems to think it’s time to further the rehabilitation.
Did you ever think you would see the day that the non-toxic elements of Fianna Fail wrote a bill that would expose the new Coalition as captives of banking interests?

FG and Lab and the media have decided that whatever they think of FF (and many in the media love them) that having the cosy consensus of the last 50 years change will not benefit any of them. FF must be, and will be restored, lest the Shinners and their accountability and equality agenda are brought in to play.

During this election, Sinn Fein and its many fifth columnists (WTF?) have claimed the election of McGuinness would represent some ethical grand bargain where the sins of all are washed away. The amorality of that school of truth and reconciliation spun so efficiently by the Jesuitical fingers of Sinn Fein spin doctors means that, unlike Hollywood film stars, we prefer plainer concepts like accountability, where one is only forgiven after due reparations for past sins.

The second sentence….what does it even mean? How does a “school
of truth and reconciliation” that is full of “amorality” mean “we” prefer
“accountability”? Are they trying to put the “hundred monkey at
a hundred typewriters” theory to the test?

Jody and his clinched buttocks are incorrect. McGuinness played soccer, not GAA. Gaelic football is a minority sport in Derry city.
If the report by Jim Cusack is correct (a big if I know) then it might cause bigger problems for McGuinness than the rest of the stuff.

Be interested to know what people make of Nell McCafferty’s comments in the Corocran piece. It seems to me that, while it was dismissed as partitionism here or ‘west-brit’ by others, a lot of normal people (discounting the Sunday Indo as normal!) are worried by McGuinness’s twisting and turning on the IRA. Plus there’s a lot of southern victims relatives that can turn up in the two weeks left. Did SF honestly think that this wouldn’t be a huge issue? There was a piece in the Phoenix last week that suggested that the Belfast leadership thought Adam’s victory in Louth was the turning point for them in the south, while the Phoenix reckoned it was Pearse Doherty’s win in Donegal. And certainly Doherty, Mary-Lou or any of the others would not have caused the reaction McGuinness has.
You honestly can’t claim to be proud of the IRA’s struggle and not want to answer questions about particular bombings or shootings. Anthony McIntyre made he point about Adams denials in th4e past that what it says is ‘All the bad stuff was done by these guys, I’m just the guy who brought it to an end.’ Ditto McGuinness.
