Your links to subjects that may be of interest to the left in general – Week 2 December 22, 2016

Starkadder made the point recently that:

Maybe it’s time we set aside specific threads for collecting links on subjects that may of interest to the left in general? Things like water charges, Irish trade unions, Israel-Palestine, etc.

I think that’s a great idea. It’s more focused than What You Want to Say, more of a resource. So I’ll post that up every week and see how it goes from there. We do have a resources tab above and perhaps we could populate it with material from these threads?

I thought this was interesting- why Obamacare enrollers voted for Trump this year:

The Kentucky voters I spoke with constantly mentioned “change” as a reason they supported Trump.

“That man has a head for business,” one enrollee said. “He will absolutely do his best to change things.”

Still, Oller acknowledged she took a leap of faith with Trump.

“It was Russian roulette,” Oller said of her vote. “But I felt that we needed change.”

And here’s how you can help oppose Trump if you’re American:

Since Russia and Trump weighted in on Trump’s side, how can people outside the USA join the struggle against Donald Trump? Perhaps protesting outside Trump buildings and the US Embassy could be a start.
